Summer course 2025: A visit to Newnham College

We had a wonderful visit to Newnham College as part of our 2025 Virginia Woolf Summer Course. Thanks to Librarian Eve Lacey for a most interesting talk and for showing us around the beautiful college library.

Thanks also to Ann Kennedy Smith for an excellent talk about Jane Harrison, friend of Virginia Woolf and a Fellow in Classics. Ann’s talk took place in Clough Hall, where Woolf gave a talk on ‘Women and Fiction’ in 1928.

Our next summer course will take place in 2026 (probably late July; details to be confirmed). Our theme will be Virginia Woolf and the Natural World. Bookings will open soon.
